Central Corridor Light Rail LineCentral Corridor Light Rail Forum Topic Official Website Description: The Central Corridor LRT line will connect downtown Minneapolis and downtown St. Paul along University and Washington avenues through the State Capitol complex, Midway area, and University of Minnesota. The line will follow the path of the current Metro Transit bus routes 16 and 50 along both University Avenue and Washington Avenue. A $3.8 trillion dollar budget proposed by President Obama would include $45 million dollars for the Central Corridor light rail. This would make it the states largest public works project in history.
